Phoebe Cheng~ Double Bass, Cello, Music Theory
Cheng Xiaowen was born in Hong Kong. He graduated from the Bachelor of Music (Honours) program of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2015, majoring in double bass. He studied with Feng Rong, a double bass player of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, and currently works in the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. During her studies, she has won Chan Ho Choi Memorial Scholarship, Spring -Time Stage Productions Scholarship, Chan Ho Choi Enchanting Music Scholarship and other scholarships.
Zheng has rich experience in bands and performances. He often travels abroad for exchanges and performances, and his footprints include Austria, the Netherlands, Southeast Asia and mainland China. In July 2015, I went to Tokyo, Japan to participate in the Japan International Contrabass Festival. In 2014, I went to Austria to participate in the International Orchestra Institute Attergau and Vienna Philharmonic members. In 2012, I went to the Netherlands to participate in the NJO Dutch Orchestra and Ensemble Academy, in various cities in the Netherlands. performance, and in 2010 with the Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra to participate in the opening performance of the Shanghai World Expo Hong Kong Week.
Zheng has also participated in many master classes, including Prof. Janne Saksala, Thomas Martin, Christoph Wimmer, Joel Quarrington, etc.
In addition to being busy with performances, he is now actively involved in music education, teaching double bass and cello in many music institutions and schools, and is committed to training students so that they can achieve satisfactory results in their musical journey.
