Bob HuiXu Rongkeng~ Flute and piano accompaniment

Hui Wing-kan started learning flute at the age of nine, and was awarded a Bachelor of Music (Honours) degree by the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with first-class honors. During the school period, he was awarded several scholarships for his outstanding skills, including: Wan Ruiting Music Fund Scholarship, Ge Lianghong Scholarship, Liu Yuansheng Charity Foundation Scholarship, Yamaha Music Scholarship, etc. Xu studied under the famous flutist and educator Zhuang Xuehua and Olivier Nowak, and also studied under Megan Sterling, Jeffrey Khaner and Ransom Wilson. He has studied with many flute masters in master classes, including Emmanuel Pahud, Dieter Flury, Pierre-Yves Artaud, Michel Bellavance, etc. As a soloist, Hui has won many awards in local and international music competitions, including: the first prize of the 2nd Hong Kong International Music Competition in Japan, the 2006 Hong Kong Outstanding Young Musician Award, the 23rd New Zealand Gisborne International Music Competition The third runner-up in the music competition, and was highly praised by the judges as "possessing crystal-like timbre". As a chamber music performer and soloist, Xu is currently active in many local art groups, and cooperates closely with many local musicians.
